Download and connect to Hailian VPN: the first setup on each platform
The safest starting point is the official Hailian VPN downloads page. Choose the entry for your operating system, rather than a reposted installer or a package described as a special unlocked version. Then complete installation, sign in and test a real website.

Download links and distribution methods can change. The current download page is authoritative; a dated announcement should not send you to an old package.
Verify the source before installation
Check the domain spelling, the linked distribution location and the publisher information shown by the system. Avoid files in group chats, unofficial download collections and advertisements impersonating the official site. Keep security scanning and system updates enabled.
An unknown-source or unknown-publisher message is different from a harmful-app detection. Identify the exact warning before deciding what to do. Read installation security warnings instead of treating every message as harmless.
Windows
Download the supported installer, run it and follow the current setup prompts. An official network component may need permission. Confirm the publisher and do not disable antivirus or the firewall permanently.
After installation, open the client, sign in and check membership. Close conflicting VPN or proxy tools during the first test. If the app fails to start or a security product blocks the file, record the exact message and verify the official source.
macOS
Choose the current Mac package and check its minimum system requirement. Follow the official install steps and review any VPN, network extension or helper permission. A Mac security warning needs to be assessed against the actual package and message.
Do not install an unknown root certificate or permanently disable Gatekeeper to make an installer run. On a work-managed Mac, consult the administrator before changing managed network components.
iPhone and iPad
Use the iOS entry shown on the official page. If distribution uses TestFlight, availability, tester capacity and build expiry can affect installation; a TestFlight invitation is different from a public App Store release. Follow the current instructions rather than assuming that a historical method still works.
After opening the official app, review and allow the system VPN configuration prompt when needed. This permission establishes the network tunnel; it does not require passwords or verification codes for other websites.
Android and Huawei
When the official site provides an APK, grant unknown-app installation permission only to the browser or file source you are using, then turn that permission off after installation. Keep Play Protect enabled where it is available and investigate harmful-app warnings.
Chinese Android phones can have different vendor restrictions and Google-service availability. Use the Chinese Android guide for those cases. An Android APK should not be assumed to work on HarmonyOS NEXT; Huawei users should read the compatibility guide.
Sign in and establish the first connection
- Register or sign in through the official client or account page.
- Confirm the correct account and valid membership.
- Choose an available route.
- Select smart routing or global mode according to the task and current support.
- Allow the required system VPN permission and connect.
- Open a trusted HTTPS website, then test the service you actually need.
Smart routing may keep selected traffic direct. A connected indicator does not establish that every destination uses the same route or accepts the VPN address.
If something fails
Separate installation, sign-in, tunnel establishment and destination access. Check the underlying network, account state, permission and app version before changing multiple settings. Compare one other route or network.
Use first connection, connection failure and connected but no internet for the relevant stage. Send support your device, OS, client version, error time and redacted error text. Never send passwords, verification codes or recovery codes.
