Frankfurt route announcement: choosing a European exit
On 16 July 2026, Hailian VPN announced a Germany route in Frankfurt. The original post described a European exit, international connectivity and several carrier paths. This translated announcement preserves that context while distinguishing it from a current network measurement.
Why Frankfurt
Frankfurt is a major European interconnection location. DE-CIX operates an internet exchange there, among other locations. That background explains the city's role in internet infrastructure; it does not prove that a particular VPN node directly peers with the exchange or has a fixed latency from your device.
A Germany exit may be useful for services or work requiring a European network location, or as an alternative when another available route is congested. Performance still depends on your ISP, the international path, server load and the destination.
Carrier paths in the original announcement
The Chinese post described routing associated with CN2 GIA, China Unicom AS9929 and China Mobile CMI. Those were statements made at the time of the announcement. Without a fresh trace and measurements from the relevant ISP, they should not be treated as proof of today's path for every user.
A route can change when carriers adjust peering, transit or filtering. The node list in the app is the place to check current availability, and a test from your own network is the place to assess actual performance.
A European address has limits
Using a Germany exit does not guarantee access to a streaming catalogue, prevent additional account verification or exempt an account from a platform's rules. Some services combine the IP address with account country, payment method and other signals. Follow the destination's conditions rather than repeatedly changing locations to force a result.
Comparing routes
Use one device and one network. Open the same trusted website or run the same practical task on Frankfurt and another available location. Note whether the connection starts, whether browsing remains responsive and whether the result changes at busy times.
A low ping to one endpoint is not evidence that all European websites will be fast. Likewise, an advertised port rate is not an individual user's guaranteed throughput.
Connect and troubleshoot
Download the current client from Downloads, sign in, select Germany if available and test your actual task. If all browsing fails, check the underlying network and membership before switching nodes. If only one service refuses access, investigate that destination separately.
See slow-speed troubleshooting and connected but no internet. Support can use your device, client version, ISP, approximate failure time and error message; do not send account passwords or verification codes.
